Eight days to go

I only have eight days until I begin my exams. I've been remarkably calm until now, but now I'm having some trouble not panicking, as I realise all the work I need to do this week. I could construct far too long of a list of things that make me panic more (beginning with "When I run into people who are surprised that I'm only now writing my exams, because how did it take me so long?").

But instead I'm going to make a list of what calms me down these days. Because I need to focus on the calming elements:
  • Jasmine tea served in a teacup with a saucer
  • Christopher in general
  • The Vinyl Cafe Stories podcast, and Stuart McLean's storytelling.
  • Talking over these books and discovering that I know what I'm talking about
  • Making progress
  • Baking bread
  • Ariann's cheerfulness
  • Candlelight
  • My bedroom being clean now (thanks to my lovely Christopher)
  • Hot showers (I just took one, because I realised how much work I wanted to do before my final review meeting tomorrow and had a bit of a meltdown)
  • Playing the piano

Jiayo! You are going to rock. I feel it in my bones. And really, rule #1, you know. Love you, Mary.

Hey, is this evidence that you're back online? I'm excited.
