ColdWatch Day #6

Still buried under Kleenex Mountain. (In fact, I've now upgraded from "Regular 2-Ply We Buy In Bulk With Our Weekly Groceries" to "Special 3-Ply With Vitamin E and Aloe," so that my nose doesn't fall off.)

And still don't have a voice.

Am writing cold medicine-addled odes to Vicks Vapo-Rub.

Please send reinforcements.

I can't believe I'm about to suggest this, but if you're still wanting to make tributes to Vicks & don't want to think as much as an ode requires... you can always make up a "limerick" :) *sigh* sorry you feel badly, but know someone over the ocean loves you!

The best thing for a red, raw nose is to rub Vaseline on it in between each blow. This, of course, should only be done when you aren't leaving the house, because otherwise people look at your red (and now, super shiny) nose. But, it works wonders...I promise! Hope you feel better!

Ha! Where is your productivity now? ;)

That neti pot is probably worth its weight in gold to you right now, unless your congestion has risen above even the powers of the mighty neti.

Kate: yeah, that productivity disappeared for a few days. It was very sad. I think I might be coherent enough to work today.

And the neti pot still is worth its weight in gold, at this point of the cold. I've combined it with frequent bouts of holding my head over steaming water under a towel, and those two practices have kept me breathing through my nose all along.
