Chris = Reader's Digest Sweepstakes addict. He's a sucker for the words "You might already be a winner!"
He's currently combing over their latest mailing, making sure that they're not going to force him to get a subscription. ("But if I win this $33,000, won't you be sorry you made fun of me!")

I had a Reader's Digest subscription for a year; in that time, they sent me a ton of stuff, many of which said something like "If you do not respond to this by X date, we'll send you a ton more stuff, and charge you for it!" This does not work well when I am frequently away from my apartment for months a time. I cancelled the subscription, it wasn't worth the hassle.
I hate to break it to you, Mary (and Chris); we received the same mail-out. We too, could already be winners.
Yeah, because that's likely to break my heart.
I'm with Chris. If you don't enter, you can't win!!
