...is the procrastination that happens when there's no way you have any time to procrastinate. And yet you do.
Such as I am doing right now. My work schedule got thrown right off with last week's marking, and ever since then I've been racing to read two books carefully and write an essay before tomorrow's meeting with my supervisor.
About an hour ago, I came to the point where I e-mailed my supervisor to tell him that there's no way that I'll be ready to meet with him tomorrow. (Fortunately, he recently had to reschedule a meeting with me because of his busy schedule, and so he's going to be pretty understanding about this.) I still need to get this work done immediately, especially since there's still another essay to be written, and a large annotated bibliography to be collected. Before the end of the semester. And it's December.
But I haven't done anything productive since I sent that e-mail. I've done everything but finish that book.
Okay. I'll get back to work. After I send a couple of e-mails that I was planning on sending. Then I swear I'll finish that book. But maybe I'll make some tea first. (Ah, desperate procrastination. How I know thee well.)

Go have a triumphant bath.
I don't think any bath can be as triumphant as The Triumphant Bath.
