Leading seminar first thing in the morning, right after a long weekend. I couldn't blame my students for being a bit tired and draggy, because I was right there with them. No amount of Earl Grey could help my sleepiness. (I was sorely tempted to let them out early.)
But my students were lovely and participated really well, even when I fear that my questions didn't make enough sense and I think I spaced out there for a while.
Bad TA.

Spaced out, questions don't make sense. Is this really a change???
Tah tah TA
I had less than half of my usual number of students in sections yesterday. Well, actually, it was just 3 students total. Granted, the sections are voluntary, but I usually have 5-8 in there! Must have been something in the air.
I appreciate the Big C a great deal.
Big c, watch yourself. I'll get you. Mark my words. (I miss having your family members around!)
Kristiface: voluntary sections? Wow. I don't know if any of my students would show up.
Don't worry, I do watch myself (in a mirror).
Call me an inebriated, simian chucklehead but I think that I am really just stating what everyone is thinking. With a whole heap of sarcasm of course.
Why do I enjoy you so much, when your entire mandate is to mock me? Even in my dreams?
Dude, I think QoWP just admitted to dreaming about big C. Hmmm. Should we warn Chris?
Chris already knows the story. Back in my IV days, when I was always sitting at the info table between big c and his also-tall brother, I had a dream in which big c made fun of me. And then I was mad at him the next day, because he'd made fun of me in his dream.
And then he took to using his dream-insult.
Sometimes, I think there are just a few too many abbreviations and acronyms in the world. When I first read, "...back in my IV days...", the thought that sprang to mind was, "when was Maryanne on an I.V.?"
Plus, I think it would be a lot of fun to call Big C an inebriated, simian chucklehead. And possibly to insult the Queen in her dreams. I really miss out on all the fun!
Well, to be fair, it seems that I also missed out on my dream insult. Though I have been using "I'll see you in your dreams", as a parting to QoWP often.
Well QoWP, those clothes...
...leave plenty to the imagination, thank you very much!
