Setting the Scene

I am wearing: yellow pyjamas (bare feet, messy hair)

I've been up since: 8:00 am

Number of phone calls this morning: 2

Time spent blogging this morning: infinite

The scene around me: although most of the laundry is away, I'm still surrounded by folded towels. Also, I'm sitting beside a teapot, a cup and some sugar from last night, and random detrious is scattered across the living room. The dishes still need doing. Oh, and I must marinate some chicken for tonight's fondue party. (Because I volunteered to host a fondue party for tonight.)

Time I have, to shower, get dressed, eat, and get out the door: one hour. I also hope to have a clue about what I'm doing with my Canadian list, by that time. (Okay, I have a bunch of notes about the books that I've read, and I've done a draft of the possible categories I could use, but I read over a friend's Canada list, and now I'm feeling like I don't know what I'm talking about.)

Most recent moment of self-doubt, followed by far-too-characteristic apathy: "Did I use the word 'detrious' properly there? I don't care; I'll leave it as it is." My brain has rotted over the past few months, apparently.

http://dictionary.reference.com/search?r=2&q=detritus is the entry I believe you're referring to?

I looked because my brain is rotting too, and I thought a new word might be a good thing to get the rot out :)

Thank you! But I'll leave it as is, for the purpose of the entry and the brain rot.
