Dealing with stuff.
Yup, that pretty much sums up all my problems.
You could call me a "path of least resistance" kind of gal. I tend to avoid all situations that require: a.) conflict, b.) effort, or c.) stress. (Oh! Or d. having to learn something new.) I'm big into the avoidance. That's what makes me Procrastination royalty. Tonight I must deal with stuff. I have to prepare for a meeting with one of my profs tomorrow, to consult about the reading list that's troubling me the most (and where I know the least). I've been putting off thinking about this. Now, it's nearly 10:30 at night, and I have a meeting with her tomorrow at 1:00pm. Tomorrow morning, I have to bus to a Bible study, and then essentially bus straight to the University. (I also need to fit an allergy shot, lunch, and preparing for a fondue party into tomorrow's plans, somewhere.) This means that now is the only time when I can prepare for this meeting. This meeting, and this reading list, make my tummy feel worried.
That's all I have to say. Grumble grumble.

You got that list exactly right. Jiayo, Mary!
Well, I wouldn't say that was entirely true. You've certainly embarked on some things that require effort...university, continuing onto your masters and now your PhD. Marriage. Numerous friendships.
It may be a default strategy for you, but hardly the only one.
Worried tummies suck. Hope you're feeling better soon.
Well, I simplified my day, namely that I'm not going to the Bible study I was supposed to attend this morning, and therefore have time to prepare during the morning. I'm still not feeling adequately prepared for meeting with this prof, but things are looking better.
