Fiddle-dee-dee! That will require a tetnus shot!

So, I've moved to Victoria. And now I've spent four hours in its emergency room. Apparently it's a bad idea to slice cheese towards yourself. Brand new, really sharp knife, through a quarter inch of my fingertip on my left index finger. It took them four hours to get to me in the emergency room, and so by then all the elevation and pressure had stopped the bleeding and I didn't need stitches, and they bandaged it heavily instead. (I can't get my hand wet for four days. I'm not sure how bathing will work.)

But I've now gotten a tetnus shot. Fiddle-dee-dee.

But I'm okay now.

Sorry for the lack of blogging: Telus is stupid, and they won't be hooking up the internet until the 15th. I'm posting this (minus index finger -- forgive the typos) from my friend Nathan's computer.

A 4 hour wait? That is insane!! I'd kiss it better, but you are 14 hours away, so I'll blow you a kiss instead.

It should be there tomorrow....

My dad had to drive two and a half hours to a small, rural community (the city hospital was booked solid) to get his finger stitched back on after he cut it off with a table saw. They didn't give him any shots, though . . .

Did you find a good spot for my book store yet? Better get on that; I'm getting antsy to get out of this place.

Is "tetnus" a typo, or just a BC spelling of "tetanus"? Just wondering!

Derek out.

Boo, Derek! He mocks the suffering.

And, Bernie, this place is perfect for running an independent book store. We're getting antsy to have you out here! Boo, Brandon!
