Maui Blogging

You might have noticed that I've been missing for a while.  Well, I've been in Hawaii for a week!  Another member of my Teen Girl Squad got married.  She's moved all the way from Saskatchewan to Maui and has married a local.  And so most of the five of us TGS members flew out to Maui and helped with her wedding (member #5 is due to give birth in five days!).  I can't begin to describe how beautiful it all was. I spent a week in an unimaginably beautiful place, surrounded by loved ones.  The day before the wedding, we all went on a hike to the waterfall where Huey proposed to Shannon; during that hike, everyone proved themselves braver than even they thought themselves.  And at the end of it all, we got to witness this:

 

I'm in the Vancouver airport right now, incoherent and recovering after a not-very-much-sleep-but-a-lot-of-sinus-pressure red eye flight, and even with all the busyness and my allergies going crazy, I'm so thankful that I had this opportunity.
