When we were getting ready to come back to Victoria, the West Coast was going through a crazy heat wave. As we weren't getting any summer weather in Regina, I was starting to dream of everything I'd do in the Real Summer Weather when I got back here: most of it involved going to the beach.
It turned out that we brought the cold and rain back with us (which is good, because the BC interior needed that rain). But we also brought a cooler full of fresh fruit, which we picked up in Salmon Arm.
My original intention was to spend this weekend in my bathing suit. Instead, I'm experimenting with making apricot-cherry pie. And that's just fine by me. (I'll take pictures when it's all done.)
