Blogging about the weather

I'll get back to work and finish watching Kuhle Wampe in a minute, but I had to share this weather map of Victoria:
For those who speak Fahrenheit, this map shows that, within the space of a very small city, the temperature ranges from 60F to 88F. This whole micro-climate thing is still very strange to me: in the winter, sometimes it's nice and green at my house, and snowing really hard at Ariann's and at Ky's. Today, apparently it's summer at my house (and even hotter in the suburbs, where Chris works) and yet still spring time in James Bay (the blue part).

Great map. Those of us who have had to deal with "airport" temperatures for years know that there is no relationship most times to reality downtown.

Well, especially when the airport isn't even in the city! And here, downtown is by the water, and so it's not a very helpful reading for those of us who are more inland. Thankfully, Environment Canada now offers four different readings for Victoria, including one for the university.

Hey, Maryanne. Remember when you said you'd log out? Bahahahaha!! I'm going to go post mean comments on everyone's blogs, and they'll think the comments are from YOU! *evil grin*
