You know, some days you feel like you can't get ahead. You feel like you never get any accolades, and that the work you do isn't good enough. And then, some days, first you find out that you passed your exams and that you'll be just fine, and then just after you get that news you go to the post office and discover that someone (who is going through enough stress of her own) has sent you a big gold medal that says "WINNER" in giant letters across it. And you're the crazy person outside the mall, laughing loudly and holding a big shiny plastic medal. (Seriously: this thing covers most of my torso!)
And you put on your medal and decide that maybe things are going to be okay.

I love love love that batgirl's head is peeking out in that picture.
hehehehe. you uttered the words "somebody give me a medal!" and I thought you know, somebody should. because you're awesome.
I knew it was only a matter of time before you became totally blinged up. It's the urban/hip-hop culture of Victoria getting to you.
I agree with big c. The blingification of Victoria is a well-documented phenomenon. My aunt lives there, and you ought to see the jewellery on that woman!
High fives for not having a comps-related breakdown so far!!!
Kate: as far as you can tell... Seriously, in the week leading up to my written exams, I can't tell you how many times I did the "I can't stop cryyyyyyyyyying!" breakdown. But I guess it wasn't too bad, considering that I'm still sane-ish at this point.
I totally love the batgirl shirt!
And we all could use a medal every now and then--glad you got yours today.
