When I was in Regina, my sister and I bought neti pots. Janice had heard a bunch of stuff about them, and it sounded like using one would be good for our allergies.
So, I brought mine home and started looking at how to use it. And was confronted by images like this. Why did no one tell me that they shoot water up one nostril and out the other?!? Water will be traveling through my sinuses!
Chris and I have dared each other to try it. He double-dog dared me. And I can't turn down a double-dog dare. (Well, I usually turn down a double-dog dare. But my nose is feeling weird today, after I inhaled too much vinegar while making Harvard Beets, and then I was smelling minty bath salts to make the smell of the vinegar go away and I accidentally snorted the bath salts and now my nose feels worse. So I'm thinking I could use a little nasal irrigation.)
And now I've overshared. But I tell you if it's as weird as I think it's going to be.

Ha! I want you to video tape it and post it!
Best youtube video EVER!
Report: it felt like when you accidentally snort water while you're swimming.
And here's the video footage: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQm7YpxgOnA
For years, my friend Casey has been trying to convince me that nasal irrigation is the way to go. He's usually right about things like that. Doesn't mean I've tried it though, mind you.
I read an article about a week ago saying this was like the best thing ever. Sounds scary though!
Roger: it took a lot to get over how scary it looked. And a lot of Chris and me daring each other.
Boo. I don't want to see some creepy hairy guy use it. I want to see the Mernie stick stuff up her nose!
