Hey Joe, where you goin' with that gun in your hand?

I've stated it a billion times, but it must be stated again: I love me some Saturday CBC Radio 1. Randy Bachman's Vinyl Tap makes me want to spend my Saturday evenings at home, listening to the radio. Today, he's devoted the entire episode to Jimi Hendrix ("and how he became the Experience"). So. Awesome.

This long weekend has been really good for getting recharged. Yesterday, I rested a bunch and read my book on a blanket in the back yard. Today, we took care of all those errands that have been piling up over the weeks. And took a nap on the couch while listening to a concert on the radio. And then tomorrow I'll be playing the piano at church, trying to get the seniors livened up with Easter Sunday music, and then we'll spend the afternoon cooking for an Easter dinner with some of my department's grad students. (We're going to have lamb!)

And then we'll see whether this weekend replenishes my energy for doing more book-a-day reading next week, or whether it will make me want to lazy about and cook more.

I'm really excited that you play piano at church. And I want to hear all about your Easter dinner.

Doesn't it seem a bit sacreligious to use lamb for your meal?

And yet, apparently, lamb is a traditional Easter meal. (I think it would be weirder to eat it on Good Friday.)
