My guess is subliminal messages in every post that are designed to doom the reader to a fate worse than most things unimaginable.

Fine, I left it for a few days and here's the list. I deleted that whole "Recent Posts" list and moved the Flickr badge to the bottom. Apparently I'm the only compulsive one in the group.
