Grrrr...

I got my notification of which courses I'll be TAing this summer. At first I was really really excited, because I got assigned to two courses that are interesting and in my range of expertise, and assigned to instructors that I highly enjoy. One of them's a PhD student, and she and I've been becoming good friends. The other one is a post-doc that everyone's been telling me I need to meet, and she's teaching a course in my field.

But both courses are being taught in June. Ending on June 23rd.

This is when I realised that I own plane tickets to Regina for June 7-20th. For Meg & Karl's wedding on the 17th.

I see a potential problem here. I already heard from the one in my field, and she's talking about having me envigilate the midterm and/or final. The final will be fine. But what about the midterm?

I haven't even heard from the other instructor yet, who'll be potentially getting up to 39 hours out of me.

I finally got courses within my field, and assigned to exactly the intructors that I wanted to work for. And now I'm feeling all grumbly, because their courses are being taught exactly when I don't want to have to be here. (Grumble grumble grumble *kick*).
