Ha. I love how we've taken this whole "A Canadian-famous singer gets hit in the head with a shoe and tells everyone not to go to Regina ever" thing and turned it into a claim to fame. Because he really was a jerk about it.
Because of that whole debacale, Sloan made a tour stop in Regina. I love that my favourite band hates Matthew Good too.
Speaking of Sloan, there are tour diary entries written by Patrick on their website from their stops in England and Spain. Part of the trip they were opening for the Rolling Stones.
My friend Dan got into a fight with the guy who threw the shoe. He (Dan) got a black eye and a bloody nose from the ordeal, but he was so excited to have been involved in an exchange with someone "famous" (at least in Saskatchewan), he didn't care.

Ha! That is awesome. Poor baby, Matthew Good. Hit in the head with a shoe. Waaaah.

Cool. I love how Chris Murphy started off their Regina concert proclaiming, "We hate Matthew Good, too!"

I always think of the Dan fight (disclaimer: not the dan who comments here), whenever I think of "The Guy Who Threw the Shoe."
I don't throw shoes. I just hide them.
