Still Crazy After All This Year

[With the sound of trumpets, fanfare and huzzahs.]

Greetings, Queendom of West Procrastination! In my sleepiness, I nearly forgot that today's my first blogaversary! Yes, my minions of the Nation of Procrasti (okay, only the western half: my friend Kate has been exercising a reign of terror in East Procrastination for years now), this little blog has been going for a full year. (Look how this nearly got swallowed up by the fact that tomorrow I'll have been married for half a year.) And in that year, as a testament to the awesome power of procrastination, I have posted 436 times.

As an act of commemoration (and because I never got my lazy hide around to celebrating de-lurking week last week), stop in and say hello! Everything's on sale; there's some free tea and popcorn over there (the Official Consumption Items of West Procrastination, not counting the home-made lattes and cappuccinos); and we may even have some fireworks or a twenty-one gun salute or something. (I know, I know. I've gone all out. But what with this being virtual, and it being my blogaversary, I've decided to be a benevolent ruler for the day.)

Stop in to the comments section and tell me about your favourite mode of procrastination. You may also list some weird things about yourselves, since I've been doing a lot of that, lately.

Favorite mode o' procrastination: reading academic blogs, of course!

I very much enjoy your blog. Thanks for adding mine to your blogroll! :)

I love your new section headings! Of course talking to me never counts as procrastination. Well, my queen, you have successfully defeated the Kingdom of Boring this year. Congratulations!

Happy blogiversay!

My favorite modes of procrasination: blogging, dancing, eating, and sex. Not necessarily in that order ....

My favourite mode of procrastination: bathing. Ridiculously long and unnecessary baths are the best way to keep both you and your mind from working.

By Ky, I thought that taking a bath was your way of thinking about your writing! Oh, the glories of justification.

Huzzah! Happy anniversary! (Or as I prefer to call it-- twelve-month-aversary).

To procrastinate, I really enjoy blogging-related activities of all kinds, and knotting.

Huzzah!

My way to procrastinate: baths, cleaning, organizing and walking the dog. Or, I just sit in front of the TV and watch endless reruns of Ellen on the talk show channel.

I suppose reading or doing a puzzle or something like that would be my mode of procrastination.

Yup, that makes me fairly boring. To other people that is, for I don't find it boring.

cramsey! You changed pseudonym!

My method of procrastination would have to be blogging, compulsively checking other people's blogs, and reading.
