First of all: why did no one tell me about Nanny McPhee before today? Screenplay by (and starring) Emma Thompson? And Colin Firth and Imelda Staunton and Angela Landsbury? And it's essentially Mary Poppins turned on its head? Glorious! I have a feeling I'm going to be making Ky go to this with me, when she comes out to visit.
Today is Chris and my halfiversary (meaning: six months since we got married, or half-anniversary). In celebration of that blessed occasion, I read like a madwoman, in anticipation of tomorrow's classes, while Chris built a shelf (finally making use of the power tools we got as a wedding present) and made duck stew. Oh my goodness, the fabulousness of that duck stew. I've married the best man ever. I've taken many photos to document the occasion, but I have more reading ahead of me (at least I've finished the book I had to read), and so I'm going to take a bath first, because I was starting to panic while I was reading, and so I have to stave off those tendencies.

Ha! I sand that ALL day yesterday. It's really fun to say.
I meant "sang" not "sand."
Ooh, rough!
Maryanne, I AM SO EXCITED NOW TO COME SEE YOU IF IT MEANS WE GET TO WATCH NANNY MCPHEE!! It also has Kelly MacDonald, and I'm so excited for it, I can' hardly wait!
But I want to go to Victoria for you, too. Honest.
