Forecast: Midly Whiney

Blah. I had the second dose of my build-up for my food allergy shots yesterday, bringing us back to this point. My appetite is also at an all-time low, and yet I keep attempting to eat Cool Ranch chips, which just make me feel yuckier. Oh, and I decided to have a hot bath yesterday, which just further inflamed my swollen joints. Slept 12 hours last night, because I was so exhausted, and because I really couldn't do anything else but lay in bed. Yuck.

But it's a nice day outside (happy) and I like the book I have to read by Tuesday, so far. I'm not really looking forward to this week: not only do I have class on Tuesday, but one of my Friday classes (the one that involves more intensive reading) has been shifted to Wednesday. As well, I have a conference next weekend, and I should be writing the paper this weekend.

But Bronwyn made me laugh really hard today. And I may eat a candy cane next. Maybe I should also take some Reactine, and see if that negates all this reacting to stuff. Hm.

I had to read Tosh last semester for a grad class - it was the easiest read ever. I just wish he provided some more information on the differences between different sorts of history (intellectual vs. social vs. cultural, etc.).

Is my memory faulty, or does he clearly favor political history over all else?

The easy reading part is what's making me love reading Tosh (at this point of the semester, I love me some easy reading). He really favours the social sciences, although he comes back with the whole cultural history part near the end, but it's clearly an afterthought.

Was it supposed to be "midly whiney"? or Mildly whiney?

I stand by what I said.
