Good Idea of the Day

QoWP: "I want a snack with corn syrup and peanut butter in it."

Husband of West Procrastination: "How about peanut butter mixed with corn syrup?"

Q: "Great idea! I'll do that."

H: "No! No! I was just joking! At least add Rice Krispies to that."

Best. Idea. Ever. A spoonful of crunchy peanut butter, a few squirts of corn syrup and Krispies to taste. Or, if you're Chris, an HUGE bowlful of it. He ended up giving me some, and drinking so much milk, because that's just too much stickiness. Moderation, people.

By the way, perhaps all this writing about Chris will provoke him to update his blog, in order to tell his own side of these stories.

thats so funny that you just came up with that because... i used to take peanut butter and syrup sandwiches in my lunch in elementary school! but i should really try it with rice krispies. throw in a little brown sugar, vanilla, and corn flakes and you got yourself a peanut butter cereal cake (a super good recipe that i always used to make)...

I love peanut butter and cornsyrup sandwiches... I haven't thought of that in years.

Poor Dan, in the face of all these women.

But peanut butter has protein! Especially with peanuts! And corn syrup has...corn. Oh! And Rice Krispies! They have rice!

Yep, it's officially a healthy snack in my book. Just wait until your fiancee hears about this. She'll be very sad for me and my health (curly-haired Saryn, fiancee of tousled-haired poet, has taken on the responsibility of telling me how to eat healthily).
