You are a Revisionist Historian. You are the Clark
Kent of postmodernists. You probably want to
work in a library or in social services. No
one suspects you of being a postmodernist...
until they read your publications!
What kind of postmodernist are you!?
brought to you by Quizilla

Would you believe that your stupid exam said that I am not at all postmodern. I then looked up the term and apparently it is right. I haven't yet rejected all of the "modern" beliefs about everything. Stupid exam. I reject it and its paradigms. Now am I post modern or just angry?
I got "Tortured Conceptual Artist."
It is frightening to me how dead on it is.
I think an exam which defines postmodernism so narrowly as to not include any possibility of modern morality within the sphere of postmodernism is inherently hypocritical and inaccurate. It seems that according to this quiz that postmodern people have to be either completely free of the bondage of conscience or arts graduate students. I'm too postmodern for this quiz.
Derek out.
Uh, Derek, it's on Quizilla.
Aaah! I did not approve of the results of that quiz. Quite shocking. Apparently I'm "the true elite of the postmodernists." I have no idea what postmodernism even is. Grrr.
It just occurred to me: Derek, you got the "Not Postmodern" answer, didn't you! Ha! The clue was that you made reference to "modern morality". Ha.
How in the world did you get the true elite of post-modernism Ariann? I mean you have to be the most innocent person I know and these questions were not designed to be innocent. Oh well, maybe I just don't get it because I like Derek am not at all post-modern. (grrrrrr)
The first time I did it, I was "not postmodern." Then I did it again, trying again to answer truthfully, and I was a "theory slut," as it were. Then I tried again, answering the answer that I would least likely answer, and I got "not postmodern." As I have previously stated, I'm too postmodern for this quiz.
Derek out.
Theory Slut can come from both slavish devotion to postmodernism and from healthy agnosticism and a complete failure to be devoted to any theoretical framework. I wear it as a badge of honor. Well, not really, but I understand it. This is the first I'd heard of people actually getting "not at all postmodern" results.
I think Derek's problem is that there is no category for his form of postmodernity: PoMo Christianity. It would probably read something like "You seem to be a walking contradiction, because you embrace both postmodern theories and traditional morality. Your light reading is The Wittenburg Door and your buzzword is 'syncratism'."
But, again, I'm not surprised that Chris isn't at all postmodern: he has such a scientific approach to everything. It's like he's from the 1970s.
