Odds 'N Ends

To put my parents' mind at ease: I printed off this draft of my thesis, and I'm handing it in today! Hooray for that. I'm still adjusting to how very long everything is, when you're dealing with 102 pages at once. Proofreading my footnotes took forever, as did updating my bibliography. (By the way: my bibliography has expanded by an entire page, since the last draft. This is very good, because the goal of this draft was to deepen the research.)

Don't ask me if this draft is any good or not. I can no longer tell. I have tried my hardest to integrate my new points, to move things around so that the paper flows more smoothly, but all the editing and the changes and the conforming to Dr. B's feedback means that it's all a big jumble in my head right now. All I can do is give it to Dr. B and hope for the best.

My prediction is that Dr. B will have a couple more tiny editing points for the Introduction and Chapter One, and then will have wording-type changes for the second and third chapters. He may want me to re-work my conclusion again. I don't know. The problem is that he didn't give me much feedback for the latter three parts last time, because it needed so much re-working, to add in more "awareness" of the secondary source material. But there's a chance that he won't like something I say in these three sections.

So, yeah. After lunch I'm taking it in to the history office. I told him it would be in, in the morning, but unfortunately I didn't turn on the alarm clock that I set, and I got some much-needed sleep until 11:00 this morning.

You may be asking, "Aren't you caring for a two-year-old today?" Brandy's sick and staying home from work today, which is for the best, considering what time I got to bed last night.

So, welcome to the new people who seem to have found my blog today. I will make the administrative note that this is a family-friendly blog, and also one where I expect that we all show some respect for each other. Therefore, "troll "activity and obscenities will be deleted as quickly as I find them. Welcome to the procrastination, and I hope you find something that you enjoy.

Hey! "Every Breath You Take" by The Police just played on my computer, and it reminded me of your Songs to Stalk By: A Sountrack for A Lifestyle CD idea. It made me smile. Love, Ari.

Congrats on the draft. I have til tomorrow to finish the complete draft of my thesis (half a chapter and a brief intro).

Good luck with revisions.

Hey Mary I would just like to point out that while people use obscenities on your blog the Pope blessed mine. I don't know if that makes my blog better, but . . . ;-)

Talk to you later.

Kristi: a "troll" is someone who may "post offensive messages only to get you angry ... [or]start hurling insults left and right in hopes of starting a flame war." I picked up the phrase from Television Without Pity.

And good luck on finishing the draft! You've been making amazing progress (I have no idea how you've worked this quickly) and I know you can do it!

Oooohh, Mikey! Here I am, assuming you're referencing some blogger I don't know. But you know Mikey! Awesome.

Maryanne, Mike's gonna throttle you when he knows that you told Jeff we call him Mikey. You know he only lets us call him that...
