Bleary eyes

Hi.  I'm still around, even though I seem to disappear for long stretches of time.  I've become a microfilm-reading machine, ever since I lost two weeks' worth of productivity to The Cold That Ate Vancouver Island.  I managed to read three rolls of microfilmed newspaper today, all of which was in old-timey-font German.  Well, I read all but the last couple of days on each roll, because the microfilm scanner decided to develop a quirk today, and fast-forward whenever it gets near the end of the roll (and that can't be an intended feature, because it needs to be rewinding).  (And it's never done that before today.)  By the end, it was getting bad, and so I decided that both microfilm-reading machines (the scanner and I) needed to stop for the day.

But, on the other hand, today I discovered that the grad restaurant on campus is now selling pulled pork tacos, which is the BEST NEWS OF MY LIFE.  So, that makes up for the semi-broken scanner.

And now I'm going to shut off my computer and enjoy my quiet living room for a while.  (Did I mention that the microfilm scanner is behind the reference desk in the library?)

What does that say about your life and perspective if pulled pork tacos is the best news of your life? :)
