We're letting the tree acclimatize to the warm house, so that it doesn't get root shock or something, and so I can't decorate it yet. But I'm getting antsy, because I'm not much of one for delayed gratification. To tide me over until I can decorate, I took out all the wee Christmas ornaments we got and tied them with this lovely burgundy ribbon I had left over from my friends Mark and Terra's Christmas wedding.* Now I'll pop a bunch of popcorn and thread it, and everything will be ready for tomorrow, when the tree can be put into its spot in the living room.
Yes, this is the millionth photo-blogging post in a row. This is probably the direct result of the fact that, every other year, I've been home by now, and I've been able to share these sorts of things with more people than just Chris.
* Note: this wedding happened before Chris and I even got engaged. I am a pack rat when it comes to pretty things and mementos from friends' weddings.

I've read this sentence 5 times and I still can't figure out what you're saying... did you miss a word?
Gah. That's the second post in a row where I did something like that. I was just so distracted that I wasn't reading what I wrote!
