Chris is already out shoveling

It held off until after Ky flew to Edmonton, so that I couldn't prove to her that "Yes, sometimes it snows in Victoria." It thankfully held off until after our church Christmas dinner, because no one would have shown up, since no one here drives in the snow.

(Do you see the bare footprint at the bottom right? I'm pretty sure that's from when Chris got up before his alarm clock this morning to check if it snowed more overnight. He's very excited and keeps singing "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas.")

Update: We canceled church! Official reason: we don't want the old people venturing out on the slippery roads, since there have been a ton of accidents since last night. Unofficial reason: everything gets canceled here when it snows. (Chris and I really have to shut off "Saskatchewan mode" here and not expect everyone else to be like us.)

C: I was hearing that it's been all freezing rain and ice storms back East! I don't enjoy that stuff at all.

So, the Weather Network is predicting that it won't even go above freezing until Christmas Eve! Chris is a very happy boy right now.

This is so awesome. I'm glad there will be snow when we're home for Christmas... And, it will be warmer than -30! Yay!
