You know, Chris and I used to marvel at how different we were. Our tastes were polar opposites; we used to joke that we covered the whole range of nerdery/geekery: I was Humanities and he was sciences. I was Jane Austen novels and musicals, while he was chemistry explosions and science fiction.
And then over Christmas I bought Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country for Chris and watched it with him. Okay, and I regularly request that we watch Galaxy Quest. And quote it frequently. ("By Grabthar's hammer...what a savings.")
And then today, Chris asked if he could borrow one of my comps books. He had started leafing through the introduction and now he's hooked.
(Okay, so it's a book called The Culture of Time and Space, and so it shouldn't be so much of a surprise, but still...)
