Hello, lamppost, watcha knowin'?

I think I'm finally learning to take care of myself. (Okay, other than that whole "I ate tortilla chips for supper because Chris was at work" thing.) After the emotionally stressful Wednesday that I had, I structured Thursday after what I needed: I cooked all morning (our best broccoli soup yet), did a whole bunch of work at the University all afternoon, and then walked home from the University, taking a detour through the campus gardens. I meandered home, with my camera out. I took pictures of bunnies and flowers and trees. Then, I cancelled any plans that I had for the evening and read Jane of Lantern Hill.

And today I'm going shopping with some of the girls from the department.

Sigh. This is good. I don't even have to feel guilty about productivity, because I read a whole book and did all my planned library work yesterday!

Trillwing, the first part is easy. This time, we made it without the potatoes or onions, and just pureed broccoli in the blender with a bunch of liquid. And we also added a dash of rosemary, but you really want to grind that first and only add a little, because it can end up taking over the flavour of the whole soup after a day.

Bunny photos will have to wait until I find the cord that connects my camera to my computer. And then I'll blog a whole bunch of bunny photos. Because I also heart me some bunnies.
