And now, because you've been going through the whole "Procrastination Through Baking" process along with me, here are the results so far:
Of course, this is the banana bread. I ended up having to bake it for an extra fifteen minutes, but that's an issue with my ancient oven (and because I had let it cool for a while before remembering to test to see if it was done -- silly me). I just had a couple of slices, and it's ridiculously good. I'm going to have some trouble showing restraint with this bread.
And here are the chocolate cookies! Those are white and milk chocolate chips in there. So very good. Wow. I took a pail of them along to prayer meeting, and they went pretty quickly.
I swear that my next progress that I report will be academic. Okay, unless I end up baking my birthday cake today. Although I think I'll cheat and use a cake mix. But, on the other hand, I'm going to make the icing from scratch. I have a bunch of leftover egg whites (from the crème brûlée) that need to be put into an icing.

Oh, that banana bread looks SO good.
(The cookies too. But in a more detached way, since I'm all chocolated out right now.)
Yeah, you really would be chocolated out, after all those truffles. I'm dreaming about those truffles you made. There's no way of sending a few of those across the ocean, is there?
That looks so yummy.....
