Could it be? That's the sound of the Queen of West Procrastination being productive! In fact, she's making progress.
(I'll give you a moment to let that realisation sink in.)
After lazing around all morning, this afternoon I sat down and made some real progress. Yesterday, when I was at the library, I drafted a list of important topics for each of my geographical fields. (I'm totally lost on my topical field -- Cultural History -- and so I'm hopefully going to meet with my supervisor about it soon.) This afternoon, I sat down with the 20th century half of my Europe field list and looked at my resources. I looked through the tutorials from the online course that I helped to write, and found that there were often lists of required or suggested readings that are also appropriate for comps reading. I also found important sources in bibliographies and on my bookshelves. Without even using a library search engine, I've come up with a significant number of readings. Now I need to go through the readings for my 19th century course and do the same thing for the earlier half of that list.
I needed that. I was having one of those days where I felt lost, and like I have no idea what I'm doing. Now, the way has become much clearer. As long as everything comes together with cultural history, I'm doing well.

Yay for productivity! :)
Sometimes it's nice to switch queendoms and be Queen of Productivity, isn't it?
I must admit that it feels good to be getting things done. Although I'm apparently blogging from my office right now. Back to work!
