I am now in the midst of reading Lynne Truss's new book, Talk to the Hand, because Chris bought it for me, for my birthday! Hooray!
In other news, I now have signed copies of both her treasury and Eats, Shoots, and Leaves, except that the latter is signed to Kylee-Anne, with best wishes. (On purpose, so that Ky and I can trade copies and we can each have a signed book.)
I thought I was going to be like Amanda, and so I took my digital camera along, in case I could get a picture with her. (Amanda's always getting pictures with famous people.) I had that idea before realising that this talk was taking place in the exact samie of Knox Metropolitan church in Regina, with the same demographic as the Rotary Carol festival (which takes place at Knox Met). Meaning: I was in a giant group of old people, and at nearly the back of the long line for autographs. But the talk was lovely and hilarious, just as I expected it would be. Hooray!
Now I'd better get reading German and showering. Oh yes, I have school today!
In other news, on the technological front: Chris has solved the problem of the whistling monitor, by finding a much newer monitor (and 17"!) at Salvation Army for $40. There was much rejoicing. And, in other related news, I got a phone call from AC Adaptor man, and he's pretty sure that Canada Post has lost my adaptor. He's sending me another one, and says that it should take at most a week. We'll see.

Ooooh, so glad you enjoyed the Lynne Truss talk. Have you read the new book yet? I'm thinking of asking for it from my husband for Christmas...Is it good? I loved Eats, Shoots, and Leaves.
Were you reading German in the shower?? For a girl reading about grammer... that was not good. Ha!
Talk to the Hand is very good. I'm almost finished reading it (I started reading it last night). Pink Cupcake, you should ask for it for Christmas. Also, that would be funny, because Chris gave me my copy.

Is it not a tad early for your b-day.
Let us do some math. I am turning twenty and that would put you at...
From your birthday buddy...
It is not a tad early for our birthdays! I got a birthday card from Matt yesterday, and Meg's birthday was on Wednesday, so ours must be coming up!
And I am not ashamed of my age. Hey, fun! We'll have round numbers for ages next year. And I can all the more glory in the fact that I'm exactly half a decade older than you. (I'm talking to cramsey, folks.)
Glad you enjoyed it. I've talked my husband into getting it for me too!
